Course description:

Class content is based on the work of  Canadian Dance Teachers Association ,and, The Royal Academy of Dance. Class starts with Barre exercises which prepare students for more dance movements in the centre. All movements have been modified for the more mature student and participants are encouraged to work  to their own level of ability  .In the centre we work on areas balance and  classical footwork. Dance terminology and history is also included. The slower controlled movements in this class work on posture, balance ,coordination and grace. The faster  footwork will help with build breath control and get the heart rate going. The classical music  is good for the soul ,and, by the end of the class you feel as though you are floating on a cloud. Soft Ballet shoes are recommended .
