Do you need help with your tax return? Through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)'s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), we are able to offer a free tax clinic for those with a modest income and a simple tax return. Taxes at our location are completed by certified accountants who have completed the CRA course each year to enable them to do the CVITP.

Appointments Only

Our tax clinic will begin on Thursday, March 13th. Appointments can be made throughout March and April on Thursdays at our Centre, please call 403-289-4780 to make an appointment.

Documentation Required

Please ensure that you bring all necessary documents with you for the appointment.  You should have received most of your slips and receipts by the end of February.  If you have not received them or have lost them, call the CRA general inquires line at 1-800-959-8281.

To complete your tax return, we require:

• Identification and your Social Insurance Number
• Copy of your 2024 Tax Return
• Notices of Assessment from Revenue Canada for 2023
• Old Age Security (OAS) payment received
• Current Canada Pensions, annuities and superannuation payment from Canadian Sources
• Current Alberta benefits
• Receipts for charitable donations, medical expenses and details of foreign source pensions.
