AGM - ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - ONLINE LIVE STREAM

This is the online registration, a link to the AGM livestream will be sent to you and ballots to vote on the day of. Please make sure you are a member in good standing so you can vote!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Current board members along with potential board members will be invited to present a one minute biography to the membership.  This will allow the membership to get to know you as a candidate and help the membership elect the best candidate.

BY-LAW CHANGE

The current board is proposing to amend the by-laws and are required to advise the membership of an amendment at least 21days in advance of the AGM. The following advises the amendment to be proposed at the meeting:

Current by-law extract: section 10 Finances, sub-section 10.2 Signing Authorities

"The signing authorities for the Centre are the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Executive Director. Official and financial documents must be signed by any two [2] of the signing authorities."

Proposed by-law:

"The signing authorities for the Centre are the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Executive Director. Official and financial documents must be signed by any two ]2] of the signing authorities."

Reason for the proposed change: The Executive Director is prohibited by AGLC (Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission) from signing cheques from the Casino account. Adding the secretary gives the board more flexibility to have Casino cheques signed in a timely manner.
