Alesha Buczny Fall Beginners Watercolor

This class is a great introduction to Watercolor. We will be covering many Techniques which will be applied to many of our projects. We will also create a Color Wheel using the 3 primary colors (Red, Yellow and Blue) to make a 12 color wheel. You will learn how to create Textures: Salt, rubbing alcohol, plastic wrap, white wax crayon/ wax candle and stamping.

Techniques we will be covering:

Basic Brush Stokes:

Using the tip and side of the brush, applying different pressures to achieve different brush stokes, both with Wet and Dry Brushes.

Making a watermark on paper and dripping paint into it

Splattering paint with brush

Pulling wet paint on paper with water and using another color

Over lapping same color in a few layers and using a second color

We paint is wet we left off color with a tissue or paper towel

Flat Wash:

(Transparent and Opaque) For opaque look, it's the same color all thru out, on the brush more paint, less water. For a Transparent look less paint and more water

Graded Wash:

One color light to dark. Dark to light. Two colors graded together

Wet on Dry:

We brush, little paint on dry paper. Great for fine details

Wet on Wet:

Wet brush, wet paint on wet paper. Good for larger areas and landscapes

Color Wheel:

Use 3 primary colors to make a 12 color wheel
