Hello All!

Spring is here!! But always remember we are in Alberta….it can change in a heartbeat!!

Our Volunteer Appreciation event is on April 12th and it is going to be fun! Looking forward to seeing you all there. The staff have been very busy getting ready for this event. Many thanks to our amazing volunteers!!! And then we follow up with a lot of great events after that. Make sure you watch for all of the exciting events and Presentations and please remember to register as soon as you can.

The Garage Sale is also in the works and people are already signing up and we are appreciating that so much! If anyone wants to meet with me to discuss new ideas for the Centre, I would be most happy to book an appointment with you and have a chat. We are always looking for new ideas.

The Housekeeping Program is doing well. Our 55+ Free Pantry Program is also doing well. We have two new programs starting in the fall. One will be a Music Therapy Program which is sponsored by ComForCare, and a pilot program for dementia patients and their caregivers which is being sponsored by Origin at Home. Both of these programs will be very beneficial to those attending.

We also have Sam from Crowfoot Pharmacy who will be offering blood pressure clinics on T&C days for the 4th Thursday of each month. This will be done during our 50+ Free Bread Market being hosted by Unison at Kerby. So please welcome Sam by going and getting your blood pressure checked and saying hi!

We have had the fortune of gaining some amazing sponsors this year and are so happy that they have joined us! The sponsors have added so much extra to our programming with some really good presentations being added. To date we have: Beltone, Chartwell, ComForCare, Crowfoot Pharmacy, Optima Sage Hill, Origin at Home, Scenic Acres Retirement Living, The Edgemont and The Scenic Grande Retirement Living. Many thanks to our sponsors for all they are doing for us!!
