Hello All!

First of all, we are sending out the news that there will be increases to a number of things for January 2025.

• Membership fees will be $40.00 effective now as we are starting the 2025 membership drive.

• Sandwiches in the pub will be $5.00 and soup and a sandwich will increase to $8.00

• Class fees will increase by $0.50/hr

• Clubs will increase by $0.50/per class

The reason for this is we have lost 50% of our funding from FCSS. So we went from $205,000.00/yr to $102,800.00/yr.

If you have any concerns, I would ask that you send me an email at ed@yycseniors.com or arrange to have a meeting with me.I will be happy to receive as many emails as possible and am open to meeting with groups if they would like to.

The final decision will be made at City Council on November 26th. The Board and I have been very actively meeting with different levels of government as this has been extremely devastating.

There will be more changes coming as we work through this process and we will keep you advised of everything we are doing.

Sadly we will be losing one position which means the staff will have added responsibility but we are going to do our very best to continue providing you with the best service we can.

A Presidents Appeal is in the works and we would appreciate any support you can give us moving forward.
