Beginners Watercolor with Alesha Buczny

Discover the joy of watercolor painting in this comprehensive 10 week class designed for Beginners. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or revisiting your creative side, this course will guide you through the fundamentals of watercolor techniques, tools and artistic expression.


 Materials Needed

For Watercolor paints, I recommend Windsor Newton. You can purchase kits or buy them individually.

Paint Colors needed:

  • Lemon Yellow
  • Cadmium Yellow
  • Cadmium Red
  • Alizarin Crimson Red
  • Cerulean Blue
  • Ultramarine Blue or Cobalt Blue
  • Viridian Green
  • Sap Green
  • Yellow Ochre
  • Burnt Umber
  • Paynes Grey
Brushes:
  • Round Brushes (look for nice pointed ends)
  • Small round #1
  • Round #8 or #10
  • Round #16 or #18
  • Mop or Wash Brush (this will be your biggest one)
Paper:
  • 140lb Cold Pressed paper, Brands to look for are Canson, Strathmore, Smelt, Windsor Newton
Paint Pallet/Tray
Water Dish
Paper Towel
Plastic Tablecloth
Pencil
Eraser
Black Gel Pen or Black Waterproof Pen
Folder for your handouts
