Confederation Park 55+ Activity Centre and the Triwood Community Centre acknowledge they are located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta. Treaty 7 was signed on 22 September 1877 by five First Nations: which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuu T'ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations. It is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III and the Plains Cree People.
