Registration

  • This class is a follow up to the introductory level course and will include a healthy review of the basics and lots of strumming and singing. New keys, chords, and strums will be explored in order to add colour to your playing. Alumni are always welcome to register in order to brush up their skills and keep their playing going. Prerequisite: an introductory course or equivalent.

Instructor Barry Luft has decades of playing and teaching of acoustic instruments.

Course description:

This ukulele class will be a direct follow up from the introductory level course and will include a healthy review of basics and lots of strumming and singing.  New keys, chords, and strums will be explored in order to add colour to your playing. What equipment is required by the student to bring to class?

A ukulele – soprano, concert or tenor, electronic tuner, loose-leaf 3-ring binder, pen or pencil.

What equipment will the instructor provide the students?

Photocopied handouts. A recorded CD of songs and techniques for students for “listening and learning.”

What level of competency should the student be at to attend this course?

A prerequisite is required – an introductory course or equivalent (a simple strum and a handful of cords).

Is this course available for drop-ins?

No.
